Beach Cleaning Drive

To observe World Environment Day, around 40 staff members from Marialaya’s Women Self-Help Groups and Evening Study Centers participated in a beach cleaning and awareness program at Marina Beach. The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation and encourage the public to keep the beach clean. Mr. Rajan, Sub-Inspector of D6 Police Station, attended as the Chief Guest. Following his welcome, the participants actively cleaned the beach and interacted with members of the public, creating awareness about the harmful effects of plastic pollution. They encouraged people to reduce the use of plastics and adopt eco-friendly, natural alternatives to protect the environment and ensure a cleaner, greener future.
