Women’s Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Program

The programme was organized for 110 women self-help group members with the aim of motivating them towards hard work and creating awareness about entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Sr. Agnes Roslin, a leading expert on the women’s movement, and Sr. Pritencia, a social worker from Trichy, served as resource persons.

They inspired participants to believe in their abilities and take confident steps towards economic independence. Practical tips were shared for starting low-investment businesses such as incense stick making and soap production, as well as ways to earn income using existing skills like cooking, baking, tailoring, saree draping, ironing, and gardening. The speakers also encouraged women to teach their skills to others through short-term courses, promoting knowledge sharing and additional income generation. The session was informative, motivating, and empowering for all participants.
