Awareness on Child Rights

Marialaya organized a Child Rights Awareness Programme for children from its Child Care Institution (CCI) and Open Shelter, led by Mrs. Ambiga D., Community Outreach Worker. The session introduced children to the four core principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC): Survival, Development, Protection and Participation. To make learning engaging, the children were divided into four groups, with each group presenting a drama based on one of these rights. This interactive activity helped the children understand their rights, express their ideas and recognize the importance of ensuring that every child is safe, valued and heard.
