Marialaya also runs National Child Labour Project (NCLP).NCLP is one of the child protection mechanism for the rehabilitation of child laborers. This is the major Central Sector Scheme for the rehabilitation of child labor. We do function NCLP Center at the Northern part of Chennai. The Project seeks to adopt a sequential approach with focus on rehabilitation of children working in hazardous occupation. Under this Scheme, the identified child labourer are to be withdrawn from these occupations & processes and then put into NCLP Center in order to enable them to be mainstreamed into formal schooling system.
